Tracefy SOLO
With the Tracefy SOLO, you have an affordable GPS tracker that is really only intended for track and trace after theft within the Netherlands. The SOLO is not connected to the e-bike's power supply but only has an internal battery. Instead of a real-time GPS location, the SOLO gives a location every 4 hours via the LoRa network. This location can be a radius in which the bicycle is located. Depending on the position of the bike (indoor/outdoor), this location may vary in accuracy. You will not get a notification if your bike moves.
Theft notification
If you see that your bike has disappeared, you can make a notification in the SOLO app. After this, the theft mode will be activated which will also include the GPS sensor for a more accurate location. The SOLO's battery will be fully utilised to find the bike and the Tracefy tracking service will immediately spring into action to retrieve it. The battery of the SOLO tracker will last at least 3 years if no theft occurs.

Difference from other stand-alone trackers and sounding transmitters
There are already some similar products on the market such as sounding transmitters, but they typically only use the LoRa network for location determination. LoRa stands for "Long Range" and is a wireless communication technology designed to transmit small amounts of data over long distances with low power consumption. We also use LoRa for the SOLO and, as a result, we do not need to connect the SOLO to the e-bike's power supply. The disadvantage of the LoRa network is that it only has coverage in the Netherlands and coverage in outlying areas is not that good yet. For this reason, among others, we have also added a GPS sensor that we can activate in case of theft. This way, we have a much more accurate location determination than trackers that only work with LoRa. This also makes Tracefy the first provider of a stand-alone tracker for e-bikes with GPS tracking.

The Tracefy SOLO is a standalone GPS tracker that only works in the Netherlands. This means that, unlike the Tracefy PRO, this GPS tracker is not connected to the power supply of the e-bike.
The SOLO has an internal battery that lasts at least 3 years. The SOLO transmits a location 6 times a day in the Tracefy SOLO app. This location is less accurate than the Tracefy PRO. In case of theft, the Tracefy SOLO switches to GPS signal and this makes the location more accurate. The battery also consumes more energy when it is in theft mode. The battery burns in theft mode within two weeks. If we recover your bike, the SOLO must be replaced for a new one. The Tracefy SOLO is KIWA SCM certified and is accepted by almost all insurers in the Netherlands.
